Uttar Pradesh and Japan on Friday explored opportunities for collaboration in food processing, technology and global market access at a business networking event here.
According to a press statement, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya invited Japanese companies to invest in Uttar Pradesh, saying the state has the potential to become a global hub for the food processing industry.
“Our vision is clear: food products from Uttar Pradesh should reach dining tables across the world,” Maurya said.
He said Japanese technology and expertise could help the state add value to agricultural produce, strengthen supply chains, and improve access to international markets.
Japanese Ambassador to India, Ono Keiichi, said that Uttar Pradesh could offer significant opportunities for Japanese companies due to the state’s agricultural strength, industrial base and talent pool.
“We should build practical partnerships that connect technology, investment and skills with local opportunities and create long-term value for both sides,” he said.
The event identified food processing, technology, localisation, supply chains and market access as key areas for future Japan-UP cooperation.
